Laguna Golf Bintan

Set along the stunning coastline of Laguna Golf Bintan, Laguna Golf Bintan is a world-class championship course spread across 60 hectares overlooking the Straits of Singapore. Originally designed by legendary golfer Greg Norman, the course underwent a comprehensive redesign in 2016 by renowned architect Paul Jensen, introducing modern playing features while preserving the spectacular natural beauty of its tropical island setting.

The 18-hole layout was extensively enhanced with redesigned greens, strategically repositioned bunkers, and improved fairway contours that add greater variety and shot-making opportunities. The uphill ninth hole provides a demanding finish to the opening side, requiring both distance and accuracy to reach the elevated green near the clubhouse.

The back nine takes golfers through lush tropical jungle and dramatic rock formations, creating a completely different atmosphere. One of the most memorable stretches is the long par-4 16th, which winds through the forest toward the sea. The signature 17th hole is widely regarded as one of Indonesia’s finest par-3s, featuring a spectacular tee shot across a sandy beach and rugged shoreline to a beautifully protected green framed by tropical trees, with panoramic views of the sea and the hillside Banyan Tree resort.

Completing the experience is the elegant Indonesian-inspired clubhouse, perched on the highest point of the property.
